Is this an MMA camp or a wrestling camp?
This is a wrestling focused camp that will feature some
aspects of wrestling that best "crossover" to MMA. The PRIMARY focus is
WRESTLING.
Can I make a deposit and pay the remaining balance later?
Yes. You can make a partial payment, however you
will have to complete a deferred payment form and send payments directly to UCF.
Will the featured clinicians be at all of the sessions?
Each of the featured clinicians will be present for a minimum
of one day. UCF will have counselors present to assist with technique,
dorm management, and some small group instruction.
Where is the camp held?
The camp is hosted at the University of Central Florida,
the second largest university in the USA. There will be 9 mats in the
College of Education Sports Complex. Both the dorms and dining hall are on
campus near the gym.
Will Jordan Burroughs be at the camp with Olympic
training?
Yes, Jordan Burroughs will be at the camp for a minimum
of one day.
Is the camp Folkstyle, Freestyle, or Greco?
The camp is primarily designed for folk-style wrestling.
However, there will be Freestyle included in the technique sessions.
Will my son be supervised while in the dorm/ free
time?
Yes, we will have camp counselors assigned to specific
wrestlers. If requested, we will provide the cell phone number of the
counselor responsible for your son.
Will the camp accommodate young athletes?
Yes, the camp will accommodate younger athletes; although
the majority of the athletes will be middle school and high school age students.
Will I be notified with updates before the camp?
Yes, we will send out weekly camp updates as the camp
nears.
